Regional Programme Funding Manager (Oxfam GB)
South Asia, New Delhi
£24,100 – £32,640 net pa + competitive benefits

The Tsunami. The Kashmir Earthquake. Cyclone Sidr. Some of the most devastating humanitarian disasters in recent memory. And each one affected the lives of millions of South Asians. Not surprisingly, responding to emergencies, improving food security and supporting livelihoods in this region present some of our toughest challenges. Your job will be to make sure we have the funds in place to support them.

Be challenged
Responsible for a region that is faced with the lion’s share of the world’s disasters and poverty, you’ll work with institutional donors, field staff and our International Funding Unit to secure the resources we need to make an impact. Regular interaction with the ground-reality will give you the exposure you need to write and deliver a successful and relevant regional funding strategy – one that helps our teams plan, raise and manage their funds as efficiently and accountably as possible. At the same time, we’ll look to you to strengthen the relationships we have with donor organisations and establish new sources of funding so that we can do more.

Be involved
As an experienced fundraising and development professional, your experience working with institutional donors has given you a good understanding of the sort of funding issues that NGOs face. With strong people and project management skills, you have a talent for budgeting, building teams and developing solutions. And with confident communication and negotiation skills, you have what it takes to serve as an ambassador for Oxfam when dealing with other organisations.

Be Oxfam
A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. More than 8,000 people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
